Season five of Stranger Things used a split release across two months and three dates: first four episodes released Nov. 26, three episodes released Dec. 25, and a final two-hour episode dropping at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. Many fans watched each release as soon as it became available. The finale can be viewed at home or at select theatrical screenings. Select AMC and Regal theaters in New York City and the Paris Theater hosted screenings on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Regal offered promotional concessions and Hellfire Club t-shirts with an $11 concessions voucher required to reserve a seat. AMC required a $20 food and drink credit.
