Activision has announced a new perk to help encourage people to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at release. The company is giving everyone five hours of double XP for player progression and five hours of double XP for weapons if they play Black Ops 7 before Season 1. Activision has not announced when Black Ops 7 Season 1 will begin, but it's expected in early December. For comparison, 2024's Black Ops 6 launched on October 25, with its first season arriving on November 14, which was a period of about three weeks.

"Right, so, looking at the comments, I'm seeing people ask every so often about the third entry in the [ FF7] Remake series," said Nomura. "Apparently, [ FF7 co-director Motomu] Toriyama mentioned in an interview that something might be released around the second anniversary [of Ever Crisis]. So that's probably where those expectations are coming from. Right, so things are progressing really smoothly. I can't really say more-if I suddenly went, 'Well, actually...,' everyone would be really surprised!"

There are more ways than ever for consumers to get their hands on video games, but Xbox Game Pass remains one of the most popular methods. Game Pass is one of the most successful video game subscription services on the market, and that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon. The service boasts a library of hundreds of games that players immediately gain access to upon becoming a subscriber.
