Sarah Greene reflected on her return to television nearly a decade after the death of her husband, Mike Smith. Unable to work following his passing in 2014, Greene dedicated herself to running his aviation business, Flying TV, as a way to honor his legacy. Her work in the business helped her navigate her grief. Now, she is excited to return to the screen with the BBC quiz show The Finish Line, where she embraces the dual challenge of her career and personal healing.
Yes, for quite a long time, after Mike took flight, I couldn't [come back to television], I was just not in a place to be able to do what we're doing now.
I had to learn a new job. I had to learn how to run an aviation company. And I'm laughing because it isn't that's what it is, aerial filming, and it was Mike's baby.
So I decided that was gonna be my big challenge, and that was a wonderful thing for me to really kind of take me through that period.
I'm there just to make sure the bills get paid and that we get paid!
