Qantas has acknowledged that a coding error led to substantial discounts on first-class fares, allowing around 300 travelers to purchase tickets at prices up to 85% below regular rates.
As a gesture of goodwill, Qantas announced that affected customers would be rebooked into Business Class without additional charges, or they could opt for a full refund.
