Peacock Bumps Off Murder, She Wrote
Briefly

All 12 seasons and 264 episodes of Murder, She Wrote were removed from Peacock, coinciding with its five-year anniversary. Despite Peacock being part of NBCUniversal, the show was purged, and a spokesperson confirmed its departure. This is not the first time Peacock has let go of a popular series from the Universal catalog. Demand for the show has enabled Universal to monetize it on several other platforms, including reruns on cable and a FAST channel. Tubi now offers all seasons and follow-up movies of Murder, She Wrote, unlike other platforms that provide limited access.
Murder, She Wrote has been part of Peacock since the streamer made its national debut five years ago, but all 12 seasons and 264 episodes were purged from the platform. Despite being owned by Universal Television, the series was removed on the milestone anniversary of Peacock's launch, with no new licensing deal in place. This is not the first time Peacock has removed a popular Universal show, as The Rockford Files was also booted previously. Ironically, the high demand for MSW allows Universal to monetize it on different platforms instead.
Peacock's removal of all episodes of Murder, She Wrote has left fans of the show looking for alternatives. Tubi recently added all 12 seasons along with the follow-up made-for-TV movies, making it the only streaming platform with the entirety of MSW available on demand. Previously, MSW had been accessible through Peacock, which now operates an MSW FAST channel on Pluto TV and Roku that shows episodes continuously, albeit with commercial breaks.
