HBO Max UK launches in March - how much is it and what to watch
"As well as Heated Rivalry in the US and Australia, HBO Max is also the home of shows such as Game of Thrones and House of Dragon. Viewers will also be able to access content from Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios and Max Originals. Live sport, such as Premier League and UEFA Champions League football, will also be available through TNT Sports from launch."
"The Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award Winning original series, The Pitt, will also be available from 26 March. The first season will be available to watch in full with season two rolling out weekly. Lanterns, based on DC Comics' Green Lantern, will premiere later this year, as will the controversial Harry Potter remake in 2027. DTF St. Louis, Rooster and the third and final season of The Comeback will also be available in due course."
"The move could also impact where Heated Rivalry fans can watch season one as well as future episodes. While initially produced by the Canadian streamer Crave, HBO Max distributed the series in the US, Australia, and elsewhere. The series debuted in the UK on Sky and Now but that could change with the arrival of HBO Max. The basic and standard HBO Max plans will cost subscribers £4.99 and £5.99 a month, both with adverts."
HBO Max will launch in the UK and Ireland on 26 March, joining more than 110 territories where the service already operates. The service will carry HBO staples such as Game of Thrones and House of Dragon, Warner Bros. Pictures and Television content, DC Studios projects, and Max Originals. Live sport including Premier League and UEFA Champions League football will stream via TNT Sports at launch. Several originals will be available, including The Pitt (seasons one and two scheduling), upcoming Lanterns and a Harry Potter remake in 2027. Some series currently on other UK services may move to HBO Max. Basic and standard plans cost £4.99 and £5.99 monthly with adverts.
