""It's been a year since Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) last saw each other, without any contact between the best friends. "When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isn't alone - Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney.""
Kyran Thrax, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK season six, announced on 2 September that she is joining Big Mood season two on Channel 4. She shared a headshot, a picture of a Big Mood script and a photo of Lydia West and Nicola Coughlan. Trans icon Munroe Bergdorf is also joining the second season. Big Mood's first season aired on Channel 4 in March last year. The official synopsis describes Maggie and Eddie reuniting after a year apart, with Maggie facing competition from an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney. The series was created by Camilla Whitehill, directed by Rebecca Asher, and features Robert Gilbert, Amalia Vitale, Eamon Farren and Ukweli Roach.
