Disney Is Officially Killing Hulu App and Moving Everything to Disney+
Briefly

Disney is integrating Hulu into Disney+ by 2026, ending its existence as a standalone app. Hulu will become an entertainment tile within the Disney+ platform. This transition follows Disney's acquisition of Comcast's stake in Hulu and aims to offer a consolidated streaming experience. The content library of Hulu has been available on Disney+ since spring 2024. The integration is designed to create a comprehensive entertainment package featuring brands like Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, alongside various programming and live sports.
"Today we are announcing a major step forward in strengthening our streaming offering by fully integrating Hulu into Disney+," Disney CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston said in prepared remarks ahead of the company's quarterly report on Wednesday.
Hulu will exist solely as an entertainment tile within the Disney+ app akin to properties such as Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
