Diddy Criticizes His Lawyers in 50 Cent's Netflix Documentary
"We have to find somebody that will work with us, that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business. We're losing."
"Y'all are not working together the right way."
"I mean, what are the odds that you would do that in front of a camera?"
"private moments, pre-indictment material from an unfinished project, and conversations involving legal strategy."
New footage from Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's upcoming Netflix documentary captures Sean "Diddy" Combs expressing pessimism about his prospects six days before his arrest, telling lawyers, "We have to find somebody... We're losing." An extended clip aired on Good Morning America shows Combs instructing his legal team to return with a solution and saying, "Y'all are not working together the right way." Elsewhere Combs is seen greeting fans in Harlem and asking for hand sanitizer, a moment 50 Cent said reflected Combs forgetting he was on tape. A Dec. 1 spokesperson statement said Combs's legal team is "deeply concerned" the documentary contains unauthorized footage, including "private moments, pre-indictment material from an unfinished project, and conversations involving legal strategy," and asserted that Combs and his team did not provide the material and have been in touch with Netflix. The four-part series, directed by Alexandria Stapleton and set to release Dec. 2, promises "explosive, never-before-seen materials," including interviews with people who knew Combs and two jurors from the federal trial that led to a conviction for transportation for prostitution and an acquittal on racketeering.
