Anderson Cooper is departing 60 Minutes after serving as a correspondent since 2007. Cooper called the role a great honor and said he told remarkable stories while working with top producers, editors, and camera crews. He cited having young children and a desire to spend more time with them as the reason for stepping away from the dual CNN and CBS responsibilities. Cooper will continue hosting Anderson Cooper 360 and the New Year's Eve show with Andy Cohen. He recently renewed a CNN contract to host 360, a weekly program called The Whole Story, and a podcast, All There Is. 60 Minutes aired his final segment, which followed Ken Burns.
