After a week of upsets, which Americans are still playing at Wimbledon?
Briefly

The Americans showcased strong performances in the 2025 tennis season, highlighted by Madison Keys winning the Australian Open and Coco Gauff triumphing at the French Open. Eight Americans reached the round of 16 at Roland Garros, the highest number in four decades, while three American men ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 2006. At Wimbledon, however, only four Americans advanced to the fourth round in a challenging first week. American singles champions have been absent since 2016.
Madison Keys opened the season with the title at the Australian Open, and Coco Gauff followed suit at the French Open last month.
A total of eight Americans made the round of 16 at Roland Garros -- the most in 40 years.
No American has won the singles title at Wimbledon since Serena Williams in 2016, and no American man has done it since Pete Sampras in 2000.
Emma Navarro stunned the tennis world with her straight-sets win over Gauff in the fourth round last year and ultimately made the first major quarterfinal of her career.
