"Gein was confirmed to have killed two women in Plainfield, Wisconsin during the 1950s. The films Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Silence of the Lambs all drew inspiration from his crimes. Hartley went missing in 1953, and while Gein was suspected, he denied any involvement in her disappearance. Hartley's remains were not found among those Gein kept in his home."
