Colette Kress joined Nvidia in 2013 after roles as SVP and CFO at Cisco’s Business Technology and Operations Finance and after 13 years at Microsoft, including four years as CFO of its Server and Tools Division. Nvidia’s market value rose from under $400 billion in 2022 to over $3 trillion in 2024 and surpassed $5 trillion in 2025 and 2026. Nvidia’s GPUs are used by hyperscalers Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Meta, plus OpenAI, startups, and governments. For the quarter ended April 26, Nvidia reported record revenue of $81.6 billion, up 20% quarter over quarter and 85% year over year, with free cash flow increasing to $49 billion from $35 billion and GAAP gross margin at 74.9%. Hyperscale revenue was $38 billion, about half of Data Center revenue, and grew 12% quarter over quarter. Nvidia projects global AI infrastructure spending of $3 trillion to $4 trillion by decade end, driven by hyperscalers, AI companies, enterprises, and governments building large-scale AI systems and data centers.
"“AI is no longer a nice-to-have. AI is now a necessity for enhancing productivity across all industries and roles,” Kress said on Nvidia's May 20 earnings call. “This is propelling revenue acceleration across all layers of the AI stack, including energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications.”"
