Most Plug-In Hybrids Never Get Plugged In. Here's How To Change That
Briefly

A recent study by Geotab shows that fleet operators of plug-in hybrids are not charging their vehicles, leading to excessive emissions and diminished benefits.
Despite the benefits of PHEVs, fleet operators in North America are using gas for 86% of their energy needs, significantly undermining their environmental advantages.
Geotab's analysis found that fleet PHEVs averaged 1.6 gallons every 62 miles, which is only slightly better than traditional gas vehicles, revealing a key inefficiency.
The study shows that without regular charging, plug-in hybrids can indeed end up polluting more than gasoline-powered cars, countering their green technology purpose.
