Microsoft delays Recall again, won't debut it with new Copilot+ PCs after all
Briefly

Recall is a new Windows 11 AI feature saved unencrypted screenshots to disk, exposing users. Its return brings a preview for Copilot+ PCs via Windows Insider Program.
The main issue with Recall was its lack of encryption, making saved data easily accessible to any user. Recall was to be default on Copilot+ PCs.
Copilot+ PC requirements for Recall include 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, and NPU capable of 40 TOPS, initially available on Snapdragon X chips with Intel and AMD support later.
Despite Recall preview requiring Copilot+ PC specs, scripts might enable it on other systems. Microsoft aims to address its security flaws upon its return.
