Gwyneth Paltrow said she had to 'Google acronyms under the table' at Goop business meetings when she started the company
Briefly

I used to Google the acronyms under the table, and I was like, 'Everyone's gonna think I'm an idiot,' and then I was like, 'Fuck it. I'm actually really smart. I just haven't learned this yet.' This realization led me to embrace my lack of knowledge instead of hiding it, ultimately allowing me to succeed more as a leader. By acknowledging that I didn’t know things, I could ask questions and learn without the fear of judgment.
I don't know why we have this shame around not knowing something. I decided I was going to be really brave around asking questions and that there's a difference between intelligence and just not having learned something yet. This perspective empowered me, making me realize that seeking knowledge is a strength rather than a weakness.
If you don't know something, ask it. I could have saved myself time by being more direct about what I did not know immediately, instead of pretending I had all the answers. This honesty opened doors to greater understanding and collaboration.
