Musk responded to the partnership on X, saying employees and visitors to his companies would 'have to check their Apple devices at the door' where they will be stored in a 'Faraday cage'. 'If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.'
Prior to Musk's post criticizing the move, Apple promised its users that unlike ordinary usage of ChatGPT direct from OpenAI's platform, users' private information and their queries will not be logged or stored.
