The agreement aims to enhance the country's chip design ecosystem, enabling local manufacturers to utilize ARM's chip designs. Additionally, 10,000 engineers will be trained to support this initiative, as part of Malaysia's broader strategy to secure its semiconductor supply chain and support its burgeoning AI technology market, complemented by a commitment of $5.3 billion in support for nationwide semiconductor development.
