Amazon is phasing out its Freevee video streaming service to create a simpler viewing experience, shifting content to Prime Video for better accessibility.
"To deliver a simpler viewing experience for customers, we have decided to phase out Freevee branding. ...a vast offering of free streaming content will still be accessible for non-Prime members."
Freevee launched in 2019 as a spinoff of IMDb, hosting older movies and creating original content like Jury Duty and Bosch: Legacy.
"We have built Prime Video into a first-stop entertainment destination where customers can personalize their viewing experience by streaming ... the complete Amazon Freevee content offering."
