Two former Tesla employees have established an EV startup named Longbow to deliver their own version of a Roadster before Tesla releases its long-awaited model. The startup, co-founded by Daniel Davey and Mark Tapscott, aims to disrupt Tesla's dominance in the electric sports car market with a focus on lightweight designs. Their first car, the Speedster, will be priced at £84,995 and is expected to debut deliveries next year. With a nod to Tesla's delays, the Longbow Roadster will follow, reinforcing their claim of delivering an innovative vehicle sooner than Tesla.
The Tesla Roadster was announced in 2017. On the day, people were paying deposits by credit card there and then for $250,000. It was called the Tesla Roadster 2020.
We will deliver a Roadster before Tesla delivers a Roadster. And ours will be lighter and cooler.
