IPO vs SPAC: Which is less efficient?
Briefly

When a stock pops on the first day it's listed, it may indicate that it was underpriced and the company could have raised more money from the same number of shares.
SPACs provide an alternative way for companies to go public, such as DWAC acquiring Trump Media, leading to significant market value increases with ticker symbol change.
DWAC originally raised $293 million at $10 per share, later trading at $70.90 per share, leaving $1.79 billion on the table.
Reddit, on the other hand, raised $632 million at $34 per share, with shares opening at $48.88 per share, leaving $277 million on the table.
