After leaving her role in manufacturing, Becky Edgren aimed to build a generational legacy for her family, particularly for her three daughters. Unsatisfied with simply being a CEO under new ownership, she sought to create a lasting business. Initially exploring various options, including a restoration company, she eventually discovered the PuroClean franchise, which offered the support and structure she needed to succeed in the restoration industry despite her lack of experience. Edgren's long-term vision focuses on a venture that her daughters can lead.
"Once you've been a business owner, it's really hard to go back and work for somebody," Edgren tells Entrepreneur.
"I made a decision that I wanted to find something I could turn into a family business, for myself and my three daughters," she says.
"Franchising gave me a foundation, and PuroClean gave me a roadmap," she says.
"I didn't even know what restoration was," Edgren says. "But I knew I wanted something I could grow into a multi-generational business."
