D&D will split a new Forgotten Realms release across two books
Briefly

Dungeons & Dragons has detailed its 2025 release calendar, with a focus on creativity. Pre-baked campaigns are out, while the Forgotten Realms setting returns.
The 2024 rules update starts with a new Player's Handbook on Sept. 17, followed by a revised Dungeon Master's Guide on Nov. 12, and a Monster Manual on Feb. 18, 2025.
Lead rules designer Jeremy Crawford explained that the return to the Forgotten Realms will come in two books: one for Dungeon Masters and another for players.
The new offerings include an unnamed dragon-inspired anthology in summer 2025, along with a new starter set and two Forgotten Realms guides in late 2025.
