"So I'd walked out of the LSAT. I had studied for it, I was getting ready for it,"
"And then 20 minutes into it, I walked out. I went to a Waffle House and decided I was just gonna invent a career and be an entrepreneur."
"Listen, we still don't like your idea, but we like you guys, so if you're willing to change your idea, we'll fund you."
Alexis Ohanian planned to attend law school after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2005 but left the LSAT twenty minutes into the exam and decided to pursue entrepreneurship instead. Ohanian and his roommate Steve Huffman initially developed a mobile food-ordering idea and pitched it to investor Paul Graham. Graham passed on the original concept but offered funding if they changed their idea. The pair pivoted to a community-based social forum that became Reddit. Reddit grew to over 110 million daily active users and a market capitalization exceeding $40 billion.
