Gerry Egan, vice president of product management for Mulesoft at Salesforce, said this capability makes it possible for organizations to use an Anypoint Flex Gateway Policy Development Kit to streamline development of custom API security policies that can be implemented as code.
The Mulesoft Anypoint Gateway already comes with security policies that DevSecOps teams can readily implement. Salesforce is now adding the ability to apply custom policies that DevOps teams can apply as it becomes apparent cyberattacks against APIs are becoming more sophisticated, noted Egan.
