Daniel O'Donnell has posted a video on Facebook reassuring fans that he is in good health after a doctored image purportedly showing him in hospital circulated among them. He implored fans to ignore the fraudulent content and not to engage with the scammers, highlighting that this is not the first incident, as he faced a similar issue last year with a fake account impersonating him. O'Donnell emphasized the importance of not replying to scammers or sending them money to avoid falling victim to fraud.
I am just doing a wee message to let you know that I'm feeling very well. I have seen a few pictures up leading people to believe that I'm in hospital, very unwell with a picture of me and obviously that's a fake, doctored picture telling people that I need help.
So please ignore all of these things that you see on Facebook. I am very well and I hope that you're well too. We can't do much about these scammers but all we can do is to let you know not to engage with them.
... never reply to them and, above all, never, ever send them money.
Last year... there was a fake Facebook account pretending to be him replying to comments on his official page asking fans to contact him privately.
