Using Census data, the study by NAR revealed that white Americans saw a 3-point increase in homeownership rate, while Asian Americans experienced a steeper jump. In contrast, Black Americans had a slower growth, widening the homeownership gap.

While the gains in homeownership rates are positive, the report emphasizes that the journey to homeownership remains difficult for minority individuals, with significant disparities still existing in the housing market.
