Wolves confirm Rob Edwards appointment
"Rob had signed a three-year contract with ourselves during the summer, but after he made it clear he was keen to join Wolves, we reluctantly agreed a figure of compensation for both himself and one of his first team coaches, Harry Watling. On Saturday the Riverside came together as one, players, staff, and supporters, and you could feel the sense of unity which is at the core of our club. To everyone involved, we would like to say thank you."
"Rob Edwards has been confirmed as the new Wolves boss on a three-and-a-half-year contract. He returns to Molineux, where he enjoyed four seasons as a player, after opting to swap a Championship promotion race with high-flying Middlesbrough for the battle to remain in the Premier League. Wolves have yet to win in the top flight this season, claiming just two points from 11 games."
Rob Edwards has been confirmed as Wolves manager on a three-and-a-half-year contract and returns to Molineux where he played for four seasons. He left Middlesbrough, who were competing in a Championship promotion race, to take on the challenge of keeping Wolves in the Premier League. Wolves have not won this season and have two points from 11 games. Edwards began his managerial career at Telford United, managed Wolves Under-23s, and won the League Two title with Forest Green in 2022. He had brief spells at Watford and Luton, and was sacked by Luton in January 2025. Middlesbrough accepted his resignation and agreed compensation for him and coach Harry Watling, with Adi Viveash named interim lead for the team.
