Wimbledon pitch to be ready for Carlisle game
Briefly

AFC Wimbledon announced that repairs to their pitch are expected to be completed in time for the match against Carlisle United on October 12.
The pitch had been significantly damaged after the River Wandle overflowed, resulting in over 100,000 litres of water needing to be pumped out.
Ground staff have resealed their attenuation water tank and improved the pitch surface with additional layers of materials to prepare for the installation of replacement turf.
Due to the damage, Wimbledon had to postpone a game against Accrington Stanley and relocate an EFL Cup match against Newcastle United to St James' Park.
