West Ham sign winger Traore from Fulham
"I'm so happy to be here, so happy to help the team the maximum I can and show my quality,"
"My mentality is always to do better. It's always to improve as a player, to help the team as much as I can and I always say, if I'm the same person as yesterday, it's one day lost."
"I love the challenges. I think, of course, we have to go game by game. And this is what we're going to do, trying to do our best. I think everything comes from belief. And I believe we're going to achieve what we're looking for."
Adama Traore moves from Fulham to West Ham for an initial £1m, potentially rising to £2m with add-ons. The 30-year-old reunites with Nuno Espirito Santo, who previously managed him at Wolves. Traore has eight caps for Spain and made two Premier League starts this season for Fulham, with his final Fulham appearance on 10 January in the FA Cup win over Middlesbrough. Traore started at Barcelona and had spells at Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wolves before joining Fulham on a free transfer in 2023. West Ham have also signed Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos and remain active in the January window while sitting in the relegation zone with 20 points and 15 matches left.
