Spurs players laud Frank after win over City
Briefly

Thomas Frank moved from Brentford to Tottenham and started with consecutive victories and clean sheets, including a 3-0 win over Burnley and a 2-0 win over Manchester City. Brennan Johnson opened the scoring from Richarlison's pass and João Palhinha doubled the lead after a goalkeeping error by James Trafford. Tottenham defended in a well-drilled, disciplined manner that frustrated Manchester City and placed Tottenham at the top of the Premier League. Johnson has scored in both opening fixtures. Frank added Mohamed Kudus and Palhinha to the squad, both contributing to the early season goals.
Frank joined Tottenham from fellow Premier League side Brentford this summer and has begun his reign in north London in style, with back-to-back wins and clean sheets, having also defeated Burnley 3-0 on the opening day of the season. Tottenham took a 2-0 lead going into the break, with Johnson getting on the end of Richarlison's pass across the box, before Palhinha capitalised on calamitous goalkeeping from James Trafford to double the lead.
Tottenham had been here before under Frank, leading Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup, only to draw 2-2 and lose on penalties. There was no sign of that this time though, as City struggled to break down a well-drilled and disciplined Tottenham side, who now sit at the very top of the Premier League table. Johnson, who scored the winning goal in the Europa League final last May, has begun the season well, with a goal in each of the two Premier League matches.
