Saudi ambassador: No alcohol at 2034 World Cup
Briefly

Fans attending the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia will not be permitted to drink alcohol, as stated by the Saudi ambassador. Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud emphasized respect for local culture and noted that alcohol will not be sold even in hotels. The announcement comes after a history of similar discussions surrounding the availability of alcohol in Middle Eastern countries during international sporting events, such as the recent Qatar World Cup. Concerns regarding human rights in Saudi Arabia were also raised in context to the upcoming event.
At the moment, we don't allow alcohol, so plenty of fun can be had without alcohol. It's not 100% necessary, and if you want to drink after you leave, you're welcome to.
Everyone has their own culture. We're happy to accommodate people within the boundaries of our culture, but we don't want to change our culture for someone else.
