Ange Postecoglou has been appointed Nottingham Forest's head coach and is expected to start immediately, taking charge for the upcoming match at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal. Postecoglou was sacked at the end of last season after leading his previous club to the Europa League but seeing a 17th-place Premier League finish that led to his replacement by Thomas Frank. Postecoglou previously won league titles with Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F. Marinos and delivered domestic double and treble successes with Celtic. He received a FIFA World Coach of the Year nomination in 2023. Club owner Evangelos Marinakis praised Postecoglou's proven winning record and credentials to help Forest challenge for trophies.
