Nottingham Forest target Vitor Pereira after late-night sacking of Sean Dyche
"Nottingham Forest are keen to appoint Vitor Pereira as their fourth head coach of the season after sacking Sean Dyche in the early hours of Thursday. The former Wolves manager worked under Forest's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, at Olympiakos and would be open to taking the role. Forest have acted fast to find a replacement for Dyche, who lasted 114 days in the role after the disastrous spell of Ange Postecoglou."
"It is understood Forest have held talks with Pereira, who is out of work after being dismissed by Wolves in November. The Portuguese spent 11 months at Molineux, helping keep them in the Premier League last season, and that experience counted in his favour during the brief search for Dyche's successor. Forest are eager to find someone with great man-management skills, more akin to those of Nuno Espirito Santo, who was very popular with the players, something not replicated with his two successors."
Nottingham Forest sacked Sean Dyche after 114 days in charge and moved quickly to seek a replacement. Vitor Pereira, who previously worked under owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiakos, has held talks with the club and would be open to the role. Pereira was dismissed by Wolves in November after an 11-month spell in which he helped keep them in the Premier League. Forest want a manager with strong man-management skills similar to Nuno Espirito Santo. Pereira would have a week to prepare for the Europa League tie with Fenerbahce. Forest sit 17th, three points clear of relegation.
