NewCo set to take over WSL before season starts

Clubs from England's top two tiers of women's football will form a club-owned organization, NewCo, to take control of the leagues from the Football Association. NewCo aims to increase financial viability and competitiveness in the women's game.
Led by former Nike director Nikki Doucet, NewCo plans to focus on investments on the pitch to attract top players, create a competitive league, increase fan engagement, and become the most successful women's league globally.
