"Bruno Guimaraes - on his return from injury - looked like he had clinched at least a point for the hosts at St. James' Park when he converted a 79th-minute penalty. Yet Ouattara, on his 100th Premier League appearance, had other ideas. Ouattara had earlier marked his milestone game with a fantastic assist for Vitaly Janelt, who headed in to cancel out Sven Botman's 24th-minute opener."
"Data Debrief: Ouattara caps outstanding Bees display Ouattara's winner was the first time he's scored in consecutive league games since September 2022, a run of four with Lorient in Ligue 1. The former Bournemouth attacker was brilliant. No Brentford player created more chances than his two or completed more dribbles (also two). Having lost seven of their first eight Premier League away games this season (W1), Brentford have now won four of their last five on the road (L1),"
Brentford beat Newcastle United 3-2 at St. James' Park thanks to Dango Ouattara's late 85th-minute winner. Sven Botman opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 24th minute before Vitaly Janelt equalised from Ouattara's assist. Igor Thiago converted a penalty to put Brentford ahead just before half-time following Jacob Murphy's handball. Bruno Guimaraes levelled for Newcastle from a 79th-minute penalty, but Ouattara finished a drilled chance to seal the victory. Brentford registered fewer xG (1.93) than Newcastle (2.25) but capitalised on chances, and their away form has markedly improved.
