Newcastle: Livramento unlikely to return before 2026 but Hall could face Chelsea
"We don't think it's a serious injury."
"He felt some fatigue in his hamstring after the Sunderland game so he had a scan which didn't reveal too much so we'll see."
"Lewy did really well on Wednesday. Really pleased with him. Great goal, great composure and a strong performance. Every game is so different tactically, the challenges posed by every team is different so I'll have to try to pick the right team."
Tino Livramento was forced off during Newcastle's 2-1 EFL Cup win over Fulham with a knee problem. The injury is not thought to be serious, but prior damage in the same area could lengthen recovery and make him unavailable until the new year or early 2026. The absence adds to a defensive injury crisis that already includes Dan Burn, Sven Botman, Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth and Jamaal Lascelles. Lewis Miley is likely to continue as a makeshift right-back after an impressive performance and injury-time winner. Lewis Hall missed the Fulham game with hamstring fatigue but may be available; Alex Murphy is an alternative at left-back.
