An inquest jury has concluded that the helicopter crash at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium in October 2018, which killed five people including club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was an accident. The jury confirmed that the helicopter met all airworthiness and maintenance standards and that the pilot had made all necessary attempts to regain control. Coroner Prof Catherine Mason expressed sympathy for the families and praised the emergency services for their efforts. A report on preventing future fatalities may be issued soon.
