'Infectious and resilient' - NI's latest teen star Moore
"Mia is demanding of the younger players and the older players, she is a great all-round kid. Her qualities on and off the pitch are outstanding."
"It's a long time to be out, especially for a young player. If you're older it can be a bit easier to cope with mentally,"
"To even come back from a massive injury at a young age and to be pushing to be starting at one of the top clubs shows the quality she has but also her mental resilience."
"We were devastated when she left but we knew if she came back, she would do great things,"
Mia Moore, an 18-year-old midfielder, rejoined Glentoran after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled her out of the 2024 season. She scored 12 goals in 27 appearances and helped Glentoran secure the title with a decisive final-day win over Cliftonville. Glentoran captain Jess Foy praised Moore's on-field quality, leadership, and mental resilience, noting her demanding nature and influence on younger and older teammates. Moore advanced through Glentoran's academy, made her senior debut at 15, moved to Linfield and Crusaders, then returned to Glentoran. Moore received a call into Northern Ireland's senior squad for the upcoming Nations League play-off with Iceland.
