"I want to build a team that is organised, aggressive with the ball and that tries to recognise and use space. West Ham United have appointed Rita Guarino as the new women's head coach after sacking Rehanne Skinner following a poor start to the WSL season. Guarino, 54, takes her first coaching job outside Italy after spells with Inter, Juventus and Italy's Under-17s. She led Juventus to four consecutive Serie A titles, achieved a 90.2% league win rate there and averages 2.76 points per game. Her overall Italian top-flight win percentage is 68.6%, including 33 wins from 74 games at Inter. Her first match in charge is away to Chelsea on January 11, with a first home game on February 1 versus Tottenham.
