Steven Fletcher has retired from professional football at age 38 after a long career spanning Scotland, England and France. He made 749 club appearances and scored 189 goals, and earned 33 caps for Scotland with 10 international goals. His club career included Hibernian, Burnley, Wolves, Sunderland, Marseille, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke City, Dundee United and Wrexham. He helped Wrexham achieve back-to-back promotions to the Championship. Fletcher expressed pride and gratitude, thanked fans for their support and described representing Scotland as one of the greatest honours of his career, saying every club shaped him and gave lasting memories.
