Extra time followed and the shootout saw Everton takers fail, with James Garner missing his spot-kick and Le Fee converting his, allowing Luke O'Nien to slot the winning kick. Wolves routed Shrewsbury 6-1 with Jrgen Strand Larsen scoring a hat-trick; Rodrigo Gomes and Tolu Arokodare added late goals. Leicester beat Cheltenham 2-0 via Patson Daka and Stephy Mavididi.
