Sunderland advanced to the FA Cup fourth round after a 1-1 draw with Everton and a 3-0 penalty shootout victory. Enzo le Fee put Sunderland ahead with a superb volley following a long throw, and James Garner levelled late after Adam Aznou went down to win a penalty. Robin Roefs saved three spot kicks in the shootout before Luke O'Nien struck the decisive penalty. Everton manager David Moyes has now been eliminated in nine of his last 11 FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition. Wolves beat Shrewsbury 6-1 with Jorgen Strand Larsen scoring a hat-trick, and Leicester won 2-0 at Cheltenham with Patson Daka opening the scoring.
