Everton 1-1 Leeds: Barry strikes again to earn a point
"Everton's in-form striker Thierno Barry came up with a goal again to earn David Moyes' side a point in a classic game of two halves at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Everton were dreadful in the first 45 minutes and were thankful to only trail to James Justin's first Premier League goal for Leeds at the break. Moyes then tinkered with his side at the interval and saw them dominate the second half."
"It was looking like a frustrating night though until Barry pounced for a fourth goal in his last five Premier League games, having scored just once in his first 18. Indeed, since the start of December, only Ollie Watkins (7), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (7) and Erling Haaland (6) have scored more Premier League goals than Barry (5). United have been much improved since Daniel Farke changed their shape and their wing-backs were key to the opener."
"Former Everton man Calvert-Lewin then hit the post as Everton were in disarray, with home fans groaning at the break. Moyes sent on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite as they matched up with Leeds' system. The game opened up with the returning Iliman Ndiaye denied by a fine block from Sebastiaan Bornauw and Stach seeing a decent effort saved by Jordan Pickford."
Thierno Barry scored to earn Everton a 1-1 draw at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after a poor first half. Everton trailed to James Justin's first Premier League goal after Leeds' wing-backs linked effectively on the right. David Moyes made half-time changes, bringing on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite, which helped Everton dominate the second half. Barry's goal was his fourth in five Premier League games and his fifth since the start of December. Leeds had chances through Iliman Ndiaye and Anton Stach, and Idrissa Gueye struck the crossbar as Everton finished strongly but shared the points.
