David Moyes resigned to being without Jack Grealish for rest of Everton's season
"We believe he's probably going to need surgery but that's still not absolutely confirmed, but it probably rules him out for the rest of the season, the Everton manager said. It's really disappointing for the player, the club, for all of us here. He's such an important part and he's a big character with big experience for us and we'll miss him, he's done a lot of really good things for us."
"Grealish has been revitalised at Everton after a difficult period at City. Only Bruno Fernandes and Rayan Cherki have produced more Premier League assists than the on-loan winger's six. Everton have an option to buy Grealish for 50m this summer, when he would have 12 months on his City contract. Given the finances involved in that, Grealish may have played his final game for Everton."
Jack Grealish will probably require surgery for a fractured foot, likely ruling him out for the rest of the season. A final surgical decision will be taken in conjunction with parent club Manchester City. Everton expect to be without the influential on-loan winger for the remainder of the campaign, and his absence represents a significant loss given his experience and contributions. Grealish has been revitalised at Everton, ranking third in Premier League assists for the club with six. Everton hold an option to buy him for 50m this summer when one year would remain on his City contract, making a permanent transfer financially uncertain.
