FIFA has fined both the Brazilian and Argentine football federations for a brawl that occurred between rival fans before a World Cup qualifying game.
The brawl between fans at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro resulted in a 27-minute delay in the kickoff of the game between Brazil and Argentina. Argentina captain Lionel Messi led his team off the field until the disorder was controlled.
