A fatal skiing accident occurred at Vail Mountain in the Big Rock Park area of Blue Sky Basin on Saturday, February 28th, involving a 43-year-old man from Chile. Ski patrol responded to the incident and transported the man to Vail Health Hospital, where he was subsequently airlifted to Denver Health Hospital. Despite emergency care and evaluation at Denver Health Hospital, the man was pronounced deceased. Vail Ski Patrol and Vail Resorts expressed condolences to the guest's family and friends. No additional details regarding the circumstances of the accident have been disclosed.
