This purchase safeguards biodiversity, flood control, and climate resilience in an area vital for wildlife connectivity. The conservation efforts, including a Master Plan for habitat restoration, aim to revitalize over 1,500 acres. City leaders previously acted to protect over 300 acres from development, addressing concerns over significant agricultural land loss, which dropped by 45% in two decades. POST's initiatives ensure a sustainable and biodiverse future for the region.
