"The first, in Sunnyvale, will start grilling Wednesday, April 1, on Murphy Avenue at the Cityline retail and housing district. A ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m. will precede the 10 a.m. opening."

Shake Shack is expanding in the South Bay with two new restaurants in Sunnyvale and Mountain View. The Sunnyvale location opens on April 1, donating $1 from each sandwich to Sunnyvale Community Services. The Mountain View location opens on April 9, with donations to the Mountain View Community Foundation. Both locations will offer free tote bags to early customers and feature a new seasonal sandwich with pimento cheese. Shake Shack now has 17 locations in the Bay Area and 52 in California.
