""We get solicited for all kinds of things and most things fall apart, so it was an, 'I'll believe it when I see it' feeling," Han added regarding the national recognition."

Smish Smash, located in downtown San Francisco's Saluhall, has gained national recognition as one of the top six new burger spots in America. Known for its unique smash burger variations, such as the Dac Biet and Mk'Rib, it started as a pop-up in Oakland in 2020. Co-owner Amy Han expressed surprise at the national press, especially after recently being ranked No. 80 in the SF Chronicle's Top 100 Restaurants. Despite challenges faced by other vendors, Smish Smash continues to thrive due to its visibility and popularity.
